COVID-19 update: Our office is now open to new and current patients for face-to-face sessions. However, we are also continuing to support patients through telehealth for those who choose to remain online for treatment (policy restrictions apply). Due to the current state and continuously evolving nature of the pandemic, we know this is an even more critical time to support children with their therapy needs. Individual therapy services & group-based clinic

QUALITY EVIDENCE-BASED PROGRAMMING
FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG ADULTS

CCS Pediatric Therapy & Family Wellness is a collaborative clinic providing occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech therapy services to the greater Chicagoland community. At CCS, we aim to help children discover and build a strong foundation from which movement, play, communication, and daily life skills can develop throughout childhood. We pride ourselves on our unique approach of identifying areas for continued growth. Each CCS therapist has a vast array of experiences and evidence-based resources to utilize during therapy sessions. We aim to support the development of each child through our specialized training and collaborative care approach with all members of a child’s medical team.

At CCS, we address developmental skills beginning at the foundational level. This provides clients with the ability to move through their worlds with confidence and awareness. Our occupational therapists are uniquely trained to identify areas of potential development in relation to reflex integration/primary movement patterns, sensory processing, emotional regulation, and fine/visual motor skills. Our physical therapists are uniquely trained to identify and improve the biomechanics of movement through techniques targeting different body systems (myofascial, neurologic, cardiopulmonary, vestibular, etc.).  Our speech-language pathologists are uniquely trained to improve speech sound production, joint attention, language, fluency (stuttering), executive functioning, augmentative-alternative communication (AAC), social communication, voice, and feeding.

When motor skills and learning strategies are introduced in therapy sessions, our clients are better equipped to be successful at new tasks. At CCS we celebrate every accomplishment, no matter the size, and take great pride in helping our clients and families grow. We proudly display our clients’ accomplishments on handprints at our clinic, with more and more handprints being awarded each day!

In addition to our individual therapy services, we are proud to offer group-based clinics, such as therapeutic summer camps, therapy intensives, social skills groups for individuals ranging from childhood to adulthood, and feeding groups for picky eaters and children with oral motor difficulties. These group sessions foster independence with daily life skills, confidence with peer interactions, and family empowerment.
